Another snow day in Winchester - 2 kids at home and work to do here in the office. BUT - they've brought some great ideas home with them:
1. Design a vehicle that can travel through snow
2. Build snowballs of different densities/sizes and log their melt behaviour
Got me thinking....
Why is it quieter in snow? What if snow was black? Why does snow sometimes stick together, sometimes not? How is snow made? What if snow lasted for 2 months? How heavy is snow? How much water is there in each cup of snow....can we tell if there will be a flood? Why does snow 'crunch'/'crump' when you stand on it? Why are snowflakes different sizes?
