I am in 4 minds about today's public sector strikes:
1: I have 10 years of teacher-pension sitting somewhere, waiting for me to retire (can't really ever see myself doing that though, love the job too much)
2: I have a big pension hole from most of my freelance years when I couldn't afford to contribute
3: My current pension contribution is made up like this - 100% from me and 100% from my employer (me)
4: How much stuff/money will I actually need when I slow down a little? Once I own this house, the children are independent....
Result: I will go on strike for 25% of today (based on the 40 year state funded career I might have had) and work for the other 75%. Wonder what my placard should say...thoughts?
