Friend of mine has moved to Vienna to teach. Excerpt from her latest email,
The job is still great. I love the school and the whole philosophy of the PYP IB curriculum. It is not really a curriculum at all, more a set of ideals and a profile of an ideal learner at the end of the process... i.e. how do we want our children to look at the end of the school process.
Hmmm...a set of ideals, a clearly defined outcome, freedom to interpret....just the sort of remit that should be given to trusted, professional teachers. Is this (or similar) a reality for you?
